: : Frank,
: : I was looking through the archives and noticed you were notified on or before december 28 that your car was status "122". I ordered my car on jan. 23 and was told it would be built in the first week of february. So I called the dealer on feb. 10 to check the status. He said we missed that cycle, I didn't think anything of it, it happens. He said it was scheduled for first week of march. I just called him today and now he said it was scheduled to be built next week. I asked him to fax me some kind of comfirmation from Germany that they recieved my order and it was scheduled for next week. I asked for the "page from the allocation list with my car, my name, estimated production date..."(he said he knew what I was describing). He said he didn't have it yet, it just pops up one day after it's built(on his computer?;out of his fax machine?). Is this right? Or am I still waiting on status "122"(parts are confirmed and no changes to options)?
: : I feel like I'm being jerked around, but I can't catch him in a lie.
: : I have no production number on the "motor vehicle purchase agreement" and no dates are explicitly stated.
: : Should I give him 10 more days then ask for either something in writing(confirmation from Germany with a procuction date) or my deposit? Give him an ultimatum(spelling?).
: : Any thoughts?

:
: My car slipped a couple of time, and the last time it was firm. It seems that the amount that they change is relative to the closeness of the date. As it gets closer, it slips by less. (A day or so either way on mine when we were down to "Next Week"). When I picked up my car last week, I got a copy of the last status sheet for my car to add to my collection of crapola. They initiate the report from their computer, and what he is telling you is the truth. My car was on his lot before it showed up in the computer as being in-port. It seems that sometimes life happens faster than data-entry. I would be patient. Ask your salesman for a copy of that form "The next time your status changes". And since every change has the date beside it, you will know he isn't BSing you..
