First pop out the rear ash tray and unscrew the retainer(2 screws) then unscrew two additional screws under the retainer. Next, pop out the shift boot by pushing in (towards the shifter) on one of the corners -- you will see two more screws which are holding down the console. Pop out the parking brake boot, remove the cup holders, switches (everything pops out), etc. Once the console is out, remove the piece of carpeting which is already pre-cut, then remove the two 14mm (I think) bolts located along-side of the parking brake. Replace with new console, new longer bolts and one extra bolt which is installed diagonally from the passeger's side. Once the new console has been installed with the arm rest assembly just re-attach all the switches and screws, etc.

I think that pretty much covers it. I attempted it without really knowing what to do -- Therefor I believe you can pretty much guide yourself as you start taking it apart. If you're a handy guy it'll be more common sense than anything.

Good luck!
