: : Well, the system components are good quality, although you didn't mention the brand of sub you plan to use despite the fact that you list clarity and good bass depth as important attributes. Putting the Bostons in the rear is absurd though. Do you go to a concert and turn your back to the stage? Perhaps you don't like sound sources close to you because you have never found a set of speakers to your liking. :-)

: : Remember, too, that the installation quality is just as important as the components you purchase.

: : Good luck,

: : : Stereo shop recommended Xtant amp 403A, 5.5 Pro series Boston speakers (only rear - i dont like sound from sources close to me - weird but true for me) and a 1 10" sub. with labour and cables, it should cost about $1530 to install. i do not know anything about installation or audio but I do know that the factory system is just bogus (thought it would be better so much so that i did not even order the HK upgrade since I am not an audiophile). Is this overkill for someone who does not need volume, just clarity and good bass depth.
