Does General Motors manufacture transmissions in France? The price sticker on my 323i automatic clearly stated the transmission in it was made in France. So if GM has a French factory, it could have been made there. Seems pretty improbable to me. The transmission, in any case, is vastly superior to any GM automatic I've ever driven.
