The parts guy said that bmw should be coming out with a complete kit. Right now, you have to buy individual pieces separately. Kit should be much cheaper according to the parts rep. Complete as well. I think I'll wait for the kit.
: : Check with previous posts R-Well. They say that you can get them at quality imports. However I called them and the person I spoke with said that they do not have a listing for them.
: : Please, someone post part # for 323i armrests or give the name of the person they spoke with at quality imports.
: : THX
: I got a quote from them for a beige leatherette armrest. The guy who responded to my e-mail didn't give his name, but his e-mail is Scottbarlo@aol.com. Actually, they gave me a quote first, then wrote me a few minutes later with another one (he said the first was a mistake).
: First quote:
: "PN 51-16-8-193-621 $93.00 + shipping and handling
: Now that's not the entire console. It's only the armrest part of the console."
: Second quote:
: "Center console only PN 51-16-8-238-224 $138.00 + shipping ($12.00)
: Total $150.00"
: I think the first quote was the replacement armrest P/N...if your already-installed armrest was damaged and you needed a new one. The second probably a the kit to install the armrest on a "center console only" vehicle. I haven't actually ordered it yet, so take these quotes with a grain of salt.
: They also said that they install them for $65. I imagine a dealer would probably charge $100 for installation. I thought I saw a post on here a while ago from someone who installed it themselves in 45 min.
: If you get an armrest from Quality Parts, let me know how it goes! I may be doing the same thing in a few months.
