Just curious, why does it seem that the BMW buyers want to "test" their salesmen by seeing if they get good service when they go in dressed like slobs? When I go car shopping, I am dressed neatly, my daughters are bathed and dressed neatly and my car is washed. I like being treated with respect and dress appropriately for a place of business, the car dealership, and the use of their merchandise, the car. I have always been treated well. It just seems strange that so many of the BMW people seem ready to have a chip on their shoulder. BMW is never going to get rid of its "boy-racer" persona until the drivers stop acting like little boys. BMW owners should be proud, without reservation, of the fine cars they purchased. Yet there does seem to be a lingering buyers remorse in most buyers. My wife is really against getting a BMW because she doesn't think it has any class associated with the brand, despite its great engineering, sharp looks and high cost. She says just get the Mercedes or Lexus and get what you pay for without any added attitude that BMW carries. After reading these posts, I'm starting to think she is right, darn.
Still, I love the BMW cars!
