Historicaly, and this goes for most automobile manufacturers, including BMW, in cases where a coupe and sedan are offered, with comparable trim levels and the same engine/transmission, the coupes retain a slightly higher percentage of their original value (all other things, like mileage, condition, being equal). Typically, coupes fetch about 3-10% more of their original value than sedans.

: Cannot make up my mind between ordering a new coupe or getting an e46 sedan. Does anyone have any thoughts on which one will retain its value better in the years to come.
