Glad to hear that Cutter is a sponsor to the board. I hope other businesses step up to the plate and follow Jon's lead and help keep this great board up and running.
My two cents.
: : : Hey, I was out for a week and Quality Imports is no longer
: : : the sponsor for the board? DId the price go up or did QI
: : : bail out?
: : Quality Imports was never the sponsor of this board or any other board on bimmer.org. For a long time I maintained links to them at the top of each page for free because they offer such great prices to BMW owners on accessories. I have a high regard for Quality Imports and still recommend them whenever anyone asks where to buy parts.
: : However, with the need to try to pay for this site in some way, and with other dealerships asking for banner ads, I couldn't justify maintaining free advertising for Quality--it wouldn't have been fair to others who would have to pay for it.
: : Actually the Quality link came down over a month ago--you just didn't notice. :-)
: : Anyway, this in no way should be seen as a reflection of anything bad on Quality Imports. They still offer great prices. They are planning on having banner ads on bimmer.org, and are also planning on expanding their web site to show the full range of BMW accessories--that means stuff for the E46 on top of their current Z3 catalog.
: : I encourage all of you who find the boards on bimmer.org valuable to help patronize the dealerships and aftermarket vendors which may come on line to help support the costs of the site. You'll find that a lot of the people involved with them are true enthusiasts just like yourselves.
