: Does anyone know if the steptronic option allows the driver to stay in gear at high rpm's/redline (like the similar system on the Prelude) or does a govenor automatically upshift at this moment like other systems? I'm considering steptronic as an option and would love to hear someone's opinion.

: thanks in advance

No, it will still upshift if you keep pressing the pedal beyond redline. This is to protect the engine. BTW, The steptronic is not as quick as manual but still quite OK.
