: Rick,

: What's the latest on the steering/brake vibration and steering floatiness on the 3-series. Based on discussions on the message board its mor prominent in with larger wheels/tires.

: Does BMW acknowledge this as a problem?
: If so, are they working on a fix for the 1999 models?

: Thanks

: : We've got three on the lot with Continental Contact Sport in the 225/45ZR-17 size.

: Actually, there are two different things going on here... The fix for the steering vibration is a valve that can be installed in the
brake line of the front brakes.... Similar to a proportioning valve. Your service department has the ability to do this now. The steering "floatiness" is related to the control arm bushings... A fix is purportedly "in the works"...
