It seems like somewhat of a sad indictment on the state of customer dealer relations that this is the case. What option do people have when the dealer refuses to give the customer this information, and I'm not speaking hypothetically here?
I ordered a $3,000 computer from Dell and was able to track it from order confirmation virtually through to its arrival at my front door. It strikes me as odd that I order a $65,000 car and get the 'it'll be here when it get's here, like it or lump it' treatment.
When the day comes that an online ordering system is available as an alternative and those salesmen who treat their customers like dirt have joined the unemployment queue I wont shed any tears.
