I think if someone was considering the 328 for the extra hp and torque, they would probably be getting the sport package. Therefore, your comparison is unrealistic. Of course, if the sport package is not invovled, then your comparison makes a great argument.
If you start by adding the sport package. Then try and make the 323 equivalent--you can only come as close as my original post. 328 sport package only: $35,320. 323 with sport package($2400) and trip computer($300) MSRP: $29,670. Difference $5650. Then the 323 won't have power seats, will have 16" instead of 17" wheels, no rear reading lights, no interior trunk release, no front center armrest. And only two of those items can be remedied. (Armrest: $200, Wheels(17") approx: $800/imitation; $1200/factory)
Was only saying my comparison was better if sport package was involved. This will change when the MY'00 is available. (Then the premium and sport can be ordered together.)
