I didn't see the problem till 700 miles, and going 65 may not trigger the symptoms. Since I have had 4 repairs with know luck I can tell the way I test the E-46 each time I get it back. My dealer does it the same way. Take the car up to 75-80 (make sure the road is a staight away) hit the breaks soft to moderately not hard. The shaking if present will start immediately, and start to diminish at 55-60 you can feel it a lower speeds but you really have to pay attention(very minor almost not present).
The shaking sensation is very similar to a mild rotor warp. BUT IT IS NOT THE ROTORs have had them replaced.
I would not buy the car if I experienced this at the initial test drive and I had the car out over 1 hour on the highway. Also I can't belive you would forfeit the deposit.
