I couldn't agree more. I get the same reaction when I say I would never buy an automatic. I am from Europe, where automatics are uncommon as people enjoy driving.

I have been in the US for just over 2 years, and the fact that everyone drives automatics puzzles me. There is no connection with the car/engine in an automatic.
