Maybe there was some imperfection with the 9+ mile cars. They had to be brought back in, remedied, then test driven again. I agree with you that you want the lowest miles on a 'new' car. However, I disagree with your estimates. (A lot of people who only had 2 miles, had European delivery.)

Your estimates are low. There is mileage put on the car at the processing center here in the states. It doesn't just come off the ship and go onto a truck. Your dealership too, will test drive the car once they take out the shipping bushings.
