MY 328i is the first sedan I have owned. I have driven coupes for 16 years. And still own my Celica ST coupe. I opted for a sedan this time because I wanted the extra room and convience of getting to the back. I tend to carry more passengers now too.
I still like coupes but its a matter of convience.
Will I by another coupe?? Only in convertible form :)
: I have both issue of BMW CAR (April 99) and Autoweek with E46 coupe on their covers. It appears that the rear bumper has those 2 reflector lights seen in European models. I find it hard to believe that these will make it on the US version. Frankly, they do not come on any other cars out there in the automarket in US and it seems unlikely they will be put on the E46 Coupe for us in the states.
: If Jon or Rick have any information stating otherwise, I would be very interested to hear if in fact they will be standard or not for US headed E46 Coupes. The car looks great, but I do not see that much differences than the sedan, considering the car does not share any body parts. It is for sure different (different side mirrors, wider chrome kideny (why?), all body-colored panels (a good thing) and a few other visibly minor differnces.
: IMHO, the sedan looks just as good and it is more practical. Having owned a coupe for 6 years prior to getting my 323i sport, I vowed never again to own a coupe and so far, I could not have been more pleased with the advantages of my sedan. Coupes? Never again for me !!!
