On my old E36, some bastards pryed off the roundel with a screwdriver and gouged out the paint to the raw metal. The roundel is very easy to take out (at least in that model) - it basically slides into a rubber gasket without any sort of lock, etc. Luckily BMW have made roundels cheap, so I was able to replace it and touch up the paint with little expense. Hope it doesn't happen to you, but don't be surprised if some loser takes it out and sticks it on his Civic.

: Recently, within a month, my brother's Honda Accord '91 had its "H" emblem on the trunk pried off and stolen. Now my sister's Camry had its stylized "T" taken as well.

Could this happen to my E46?... Somebody ripping off the roundel or other emblems? Or is it too tough (I'm hoping) to come off easily?

If so any advice for precautions?
