I seems kinda "GM-ish" to have heated mirrors that are always on. The ony Bimer we have is an '84 733i, and it has heated mirrors, but I have only seen them come on in the winter when it is cold. (I know this because car is old and there is a flaw in the driver's mirror now where you can see one of the elements thourgh the glass a little, and it glows orange in winter when cold outside..) My '94 Infiniti turns on the heated mirrors when I hit the rear-defogger button. I'm nto sure if it also has a auto-switch that is set off by temp.....
: Someone was mentioning about heated mirror a few days ago. Those of you who think it heats up at or below 37F might want to recheck it!! My mirrors were heated yesterday afternoon (70's F), and this morning (50's F).
