I think it's a great idea. I live in NJ, and won't be any help with your group. You could coincide it with a BMWCCA chapter meeting.

I am one who is pretty sure I don't have a problem(3K). Straight tracking, no floatiness, and no high speed braking issue. (When coming to a stop the car will tramline, but only when road in noticably rutted.)

I am going to a BMWCCA chapter meeting on Thursday (which is being held at a BMW center) and I am going to talk to some mechanics about the issues. Hopefully there will be other E46 drivers there to discuss with.
