Don't know how many people read the bimmer mag article on oil in the july(?) issue (issue with 323i/328i comparison, e46 coupe on cover). Jack's findings are consistent with the article. However, what about the wear metals from engine break-in? Granted, modern engines are clean when assembled, but wear metals may be smaller than can be filtered out.

If nothing else, maybe I'll get my oil tested.
