I was actually looking for some insight regarding the differential in the e46s. Would you think an aftermarket limited slip differential would improve acceleration times? For some reason I think that the stock differential has alot of play so that the E46 has the refined feel to it.

I am used to the E36 and when the revs are brought up to about 3k and the clutch was dropped it was gut wrenching. On the other hand with the E46 and the same was done the car just sits there eating clutch or the energy of the engine is just not being transfered to the wheels.

Don't get me wrong I am more than happy with the car I just was wondering if that was the reason why it was occuring and if it can be changed.
