Before on all E46s, the clock was on the OBC only; therefore, you would have to toggle between other displays (ie outside temp) in order to see the clock. Beginning with Sep production on all Y2K E46s, all stereos were given a clock display (including the HK, as the head unit is the same anyway). I think that the OBC will still have the clock also, but you can leave it displaying other information.
