There is no problem buying the car at a PA dealer. You would register it in NJ just like any other new car (also paying NJ, but not PA sales tax. Don't let the dealer try to hit you up for that).
Assuming you live on campus, you could probably use that as residency. However, I would definitely get a PA drivers license also. The state of the license and registration should match.
: Hi guys...I just have a few questions that I have been pondering. I plan to buy a 323Ci in the near future. My residency is in New Jersey but I go to college in Pennsylvania. I was wondering, under the law,if I could buy and register my bimmer under PA and use my college as residency in the state. Pa is significantly cheaper than NJ in terms of dealer asking price, insurance, etc. Or can I buy the car in Pa and register it in NJ? Also..Does anyone know anygood dealers in the Lehigh Valley area of Pa or Central Jersey. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanx!!!!
