My first car was a VW Jetta (87); I got it new then with 5spd. I have yet to drive a car that has as good a clutch/shifter combo as that non-cable shifter (it was shaft driven) Not even my 323 is as good. No drive line elastic effects like my Honda Accord had. My Accord had a great tranny with the 4cyl. VTEC, but the car was very sensitive to driveline wind up which made smooth driving difficult at low speed. Also the power band in the Honda engine was so high up that it felt like the car had turbo lag. And the engine was very rough. Not one of Honda's best sedans (94-97).

Anyway, how old are you? I ask because it is so obvious how you slip in other Bimmers in your family and yes, you are trying to brag indirectly. You are being obvious and no one is impressed. Enjoy the 328i your dad bought you.
