I have been working with carOrder for two months now. And finally, today, I have an appointment with the dealer to pick up the car (in two hours!!!).
This is not the place for carorder discussion, so I won't go into detail...but it sure was a painful process. In retrospect, I know that I worked much harder and went through more pain dealing with carorder than I would have with a dealer. But I am getting a Y2k model but paying 99' invoice price, and (this is the best part) carorder had to give the dealer over $5000 to subsideize my deal!
Those who are interested, go to edmunds.com's town hall, then enter "smart shopper." Under that topic, you will find a discussion board re: carorder.com. I found the discussion board very helpful. Also, if you encounter problems and cannot seem to get pass it, call up Erica Brynes (the director of customer service). She supervises the customer reps there.
