I'm down to the wire on choosing sport vs regular suspension for my 323i before my order is locked in silicon and I need some feedback. I had chosen regular because of the battlefield type streets around Boston but D.T. on this board suggested I call Daanesh at BPG in Allston MA first. (thanks, D.T.).
Daanesh clearly knows BMW and made the point that If I find the sport suspension a tad too firm but still like the cornering of the sport, I should get the sport but change the tires. The sport comes with 16x7 wheels and 225/50 tires. He feels these would be significantly harsher than a 205/55 tire on a 16 inch rim and points out that the 323Ci sport actually has this size tire and it is the perfect handling/ride combination. Would appreciate opinions on this in next 12 hours when I have my last chance to change my order.
