It is illegal to register a car If you are not a resident of the state you are registering in. So if you want to register in PA, use your college address(if its not a P.O. box) and be able to prove that you stay at that address more than 6 months out of the year.
: Hi guys...I just have a few questions that I have been pondering. I plan to buy a 323Ci in the near future. My residency is in New Jersey but I go to college in Pennsylvania. I was wondering, under the law,if I could buy and register my bimmer under PA and use my college as residency in the state. Pa is significantly cheaper than NJ in terms of dealer asking price, insurance, etc. Or can I buy the car in Pa and register it in NJ? Also..Does anyone know anygood dealers in the Lehigh Valley area of Pa or Central Jersey. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanx!!!!
