I read somewhere (I believe in my 323i warranty guide; unfortunately, it's in the car and I'm not :-)) that undercoating can constitute a safety risk, as chemicals used can catch fire. Be sure your dealer knows what it's doing, and get as much info on the process as possible.

: 323Ci pickup day looming. STOP.
: Need info on undercoating. STOP.
: Harsh NY winter, salt eating at the undercarriage. STOP.
: BMW protection sufficient? STOP.
: Do I need dealer added tar undercoating? STOP.
: If yes, how much is it? STOP.

: :)

: Thanks all,
