Been hot footing it a bit more lately as the miles wear in and the engine loosens up. And I've noticed a bit more understeer than was initially there now that I'm pushing it harder in the corners. Searched the archives and it seems the consensus is 33 front and rear for sharper response and more balance.
Can someone explain to me why increasing the front tire pressure would result in less understeer? Am I missing something? I thought lowering tire pressure resulted in more contact patch. Wouldn't the current setup give you more oversteer than understeer since the rears would have less contact patch?
By the same token, if balancing the tire pressures at 33 gives better balance to the car, wouldn't 31 all around give you better balance *and* more ultimate grip because of more contact patch?
Feel free to correct any of my statements, I don't know a whole lot about the subject. All I do know is I want the understeer blues gone. Almost feels like a front driver the way it is....and that's most certainly an evil thing.
