I have a black '99 323i with Continental (I know, I wish they were Pirellis too) 205/55 16 tires. Door jamb says recommended pressure is 33 fr 41 rear. Seems I read somewhere to run them about 4 lbs above recommended for greater handling in corners. Am confused about effects of a little over vs. exactly recommended and how much over can I go without undesirable effects, etc. Can someone with authority please explain pros/cons of moderate overinflation and also settle question of "correct pressure?" Thanks.
