I would say use some ultra dawn and just clean the greasy areas and rinse it off real good. THen re wax those areas. It will strip off all the wax, but wont be harsh on your paint like P21S cleanser or a bug/tar remover.
: Last week I was in Cape May, NJ when Hurricane Floyd came through. (Things were worse elsewhere.) However, my car did get a ton of rain dumped on it. What this led to is oil or grease-like smears beneath the doors and other areas where the water drains out of the doors, etc.
: Normal carwash soap wouldn't remove this stuff. Any suggestions? Is there anything that will remove this without taking off the wax too?
: I actually think it's some cosmolene that was in the door, or perhaps it's from the lubricants used on the internals --- more likely, because now my driver's window squeaks.
