Anyone fixed the nosy fold down seats? (archive)

Has anyone fixed the rattling/squeaking noise from the fold down seats? I have a y2k 323ci and I hear this horrible squeaking/rattling noise whenever going over bumps. I believe the noise is caused by the leather seats rubbing against something. It is also temperature-sensitive (It gets a lot worse when the temperature is low, especially at night). TIA.

I shoved a piece of sponge rubber under each rear headrest - no rattling since. (nt) 21:00 9/24/99 (0)
