thanks for the advice. btw, which car did you get? i have already spoke to one of the dealers at the dealership you bought your car from. they seemed nice and they even gave me a quote on my current car ( a 95 accord ex )
: : Try Oyster Bay, Habberstad, Competition
: : : Evan.
: The one that you went to, off exit 31, is called Bayside BMW. I live 5 minutes from them. While shopping for my 323Ci, this was the dealership I visited first. I was not pleased. I got quoted MSRP the first time around. Left. Called back, my Salesperson was no longer with the company. Spoke to another sales guy. Same thing, MSRP. Finally I went right to the manager, who graciously offered to knock off $750. Puhleeze! I would suggest you stay away from them.
: Went to Ralye Motors in Roslyn (about 8 miles east of Bayside BMW) The price was competitive, got about $1100 off, their service department is tops, and they have 30 cars available as loaners when you get in for service. Unfortunatelly, they did not want to hear about my internet research on the price, saying: "I'll work with you on the price, as long as it's not from the internet, because, you know, who cares about that." That put me off, plus they could not get the car I wanted until October.
: Called BMW of Manhattan, never got a call back. Park Avenue BMW in Jersey, was OK with price, but not stellar.
: Finally, I ordered from Endurance Motors in Mt. Kisco, NY. the exact car I wanted at $1700 off MSRP. It's a trip for me, but I like their price and service. If you don't mind the distance, call them up at 914.666.5181. Talk to Jay at x819
