I've been driving my 328i sport for 3 months now, and yesterday was the first time i turned off asc. During a 0-60 after a red light, i shifted from 1st to 2nd and the wheels spun with such a tremendous force that i was pushed back to the seat, and i flew toward 60 and well over before i knew it. In the past with the ASC on, i always felt a relatively long hesistation. I didn't know that it made so much difference.
Anyway, with my newfound confidence in my car, i called up my friend who has a supra twin turbo and an all-wheel drive eclipse gsx to have a little drag race. I beat him in the eclipse by half a car length with asc on before, and this time i totally crushed him. the 328i gets an early lead on 1st and then steadily increases it. well, no i didn't beat the supra, it's amazing on 2nd, but it was close. and the last time i heard, they were in the low to mid fives. Please no catholic, choir-boy flames on the danger of it all. i'm too young to care (19), and i have a newfound love for my car.
