I too have this problem and have been trying to fix it. I first tried applying Lexol Leather Conditioner to the sides of the leather seat backs, but it only silenced the leather rubbing noise for a few days. But after a bit of experimenting, I found that most of that noise comes from the upper portions of the seatback sides, where it curves to line up with the rear shelf area. For now, I have placed thin cotton cloth between the rubbing areas and have sacrificed looks for psychological stability (not going nuts from the noise).
I'll be showing this to my dealer next Tuesday when I'm due in for my airbag light. We'll see where that leads, but I'm also thinking about taking it to some auto upholstery place to see what they think.
