Window Tint in California... (archive)

Hi all,
Quick question for any people out there in California that have had their windows tinted. I am looking at getting the windows tinted on my 323Ci coupe that will be arriving shortly, and was wondering what the max tint you can apply here in CA is? And what % do you recommend? I know I want to go with an equal % on all windows.

I looked at the web page mentioned on this board that gives legal limits, but I don't quite understand it. It says 70% for front side windows...but all the tint places I have seen generally offer tints of 5%, 20%, and 35% (5% being the darkest). So does that 70% mean I can have 30% tint? or 70%? I have never heard of anyone that got a 70% tint on their windows, seems like that would be WAY too light.
