: it's a real pain to wax my star-spoke wheels, and the wax does not last as long on the wheels as on the body panels, for obvious reasons. You'll need to rewax every month or so if you use a chemical wheel cleaner. But, the wax does do an excellent job in keeping the dust from "baking" on.

Any opinions on whether the "chemical" cleaners are safe to use on the wheels? I still wash mine by hand with the maquires car wash and a mit.(what a pain these all the spokes are on these wheels are too...98 323is sport)
