I have experienced the same thing. It usually happened when the car hadn't been running for a while (24hrs). I took it to the dealer and they re-synched the switch to the motors. Haven't had any problems since, but it's only been 4 days. Will keep everyone updated.

: Like many others, I seem to have the occasionally inoperative moonroof problem. the moonroof simply will not respond to the switch unless the roof is tilted up first. I noticed this morning that when the roof is closed and refuses to open by moving the switch to the rear then moving the switch forward unexpectedly causes the roof to tilt open at the rear and then normal function returns! It's mildly annoying and has got me baffled as there's no sign of any elctromechanical problems or binding. The moonroof works smoothly and I don't think it's the switch since this problem occured once when I attempted to open the moonroof with the key remote. I'm baffled by this! Does any one have any thoughts on this problem?
