I am considering a new BMW 323 (2000) and live in the
northern New Jersey area.
I just moved from California and so am not used to
the snow.
I really like the way the BMW handles but am worried
about it in snow, with the rear-wheel drive.
I am also looking at the Audi A4 and the major selling
point there is the Quattro which (apparantly) makes it
safer in snow.
Do we need snow tires or would all-season tires be
enough for the 323 in winter?
Would greatly appreciate your inputs into this.

Also, if you had any comments of the long term reliability of the 323 (compared to the Audi A4 too)
I would appreciate it.

Look forward to your responses.
