Go ahead and buy a MB if you think they're any better. I can tell you this my sister has a c230 which was 35000. It's been in the shop 10 times for various things. What you have to understand is that all manufacturers no matter how good they are will produce a defective car once in a while. The complaints you hear from this board are from a limited sample of the total population. It is extremely difficult to draw any kind of a conclusion with any confidence from the data presented here.
