Clutch too light. Any ways to adjust it? (archive)

Having owned an E36 before, I find the clutch on the E46 way too light. Instead of having your leg counter the spring rate of the clutch, now I find myself having to consciously lift the leg to control the clutch, that greatly affects the precision of the clutch travel I believe. And a light clutch works great on a car with shallow clutch travel not typical on BMWs. I've owned the car for almost a year and I'm still bothered by this.

Anyone know how to adjust or replace the clutch spring?

Thanks in advance.
