I own a '99/328i and I have noticed a vibration in the steering wheel during braking, since I bought the car in May.
I brought it in to the dealer who replaced pads and rotors (free of charge) but offered a diturbing explanation, that I must have warped the rotors by driving my car around town too much. (thus over heating the breaks!)
My car has has been driven normaly with a balanced combination of city and hi-way, and it only has 3k miles on it.
I can't believe that I could have warped the rotors by driving the car around town too much? Especially with such low milage! (Not to mention that I noticed the vibration with in the first couple of weeks!)
What's up with the dealers explation?
Has anyone had a similar problems?
