I make it a point not to overtake people in the next lane over with more than 10-15mph difference between my speed and theirs. I also try to see what they are up to and whether they are paying attention (admittedly a difficult task). In this country, I actually never go above 80 or so unless there are very few cars and I will be able to give myself lots of room. In the case of this saturday there was literally no-one around so I didn't have much to worry about. By the way, I have seen way too many "real" excellent drivers to consider myself one but I have taken some formal driving dynamics/car control classes and I am always attentive when driving. I basically think I can honestly describe myself as a "safe" driver if not an "excellent" one. But your point is valid and worth noting.

Rudy
