Posted by JA on October 04, 1999 at 18:00:13: it also a crow? Seriously...I am confused. I remember Lexus used "projector" headlights in the earliest SC cars nearly ten years ago. I have seen this type of bulb on many cars over the past decade, and always thought of them as "projectors." Basically, they are just a small dome of glass with no visible bulb. Yet recently I have heard all this talk about Xenons and HID headlights. My question, then, is this: Are all "projection" lights Xenons, and conversely, are all Xenons (or similar) projectors? Has Lexus been using Xenon gas bulbs for ten years, or does "projection" simply describe the dome of glass over any kind of bulb, Xenon or conventional? Phew, thanks.
