The Xenons have an extended lobe on the right hand side which show contrast better and provide that contrast over longer distances. This helps in detecting and avoiding pedestrians.

: First you go so slow that the extra warning you get from being able to see further is not a real advantage. Second, rarely do the lights have the ability to project further than normal lights.
