About the financing issue, don't let them know you have you're own financing. Hint that you'll need it, but say you won't discuss it till after a price on the car is reached. They make money off the financing, so if they think you will finance through them, they may be a little more maliable on price.
Same thing about a trade, by the way. Hint that you want to do a trade in, but make them give you a price on the car first. Then go out and sell your old car privately.
: Hello Everyone...OK, after much debate, I've decided that to get the exact options I want, I'm going to have to special order a 323i. Here are the specs:
: blk/blk leatherette
: Fold Down Rear Seats
: Well, I've calculated that the total for this will come out to 34110 according to BMW's MSRPs (incl. dest.). NOW, here's the question, I've also figured out that this price is 3395.00 OVER dealer invoice for all packages, options, and the car. How much OVER dealer invoice should I expect/ask for this car? I live in Los Angeles/So Cal.
: I plan to finance through my bank so BMW won't have to bother with financing me, as far as they're concerned, they're going to be getting a check for the full amount (although I'll still be stuck with the payments!). Does that give me any leverage to deal?
: Also, would anyone have any good experiences with dealers around here that might be able to be very competitive with their pricing?
: Any advice would be appreciated!
: Thank in advance
