: That is actually a major topic of discussion (albeit a while ago). Many many BMW fanatics despise the new body, especially the sedan. People on the E36 board were sharing info on where they could find leftover E36s.

: Personally, I like the new coupe and don't really care for the sedan (too A4-ish), but that's just my opinion. My point is, however, that which body style is preferable is very much a matter of personal preference. Broad statements like yours are a little presumptive.
