: I have a week 42, too. Any guess about when it can be delivered? (west coast)
: I'd like ot keep in touch w/ those with a week 42.
: What car did you order if I may ask?
: : : I guess wereahead of schedule here. I check ed with my salesman last week and he let me know that my car was at a status code 150 and still scheduled for production week 41 (next week). I later printed out the posting for status codes here (thanks whoever posted it) and noticed that code 150 means production has started. So today I called the guy who handles the ordering and asked him to check for me, again status 150...I had hoped it had moved up since last week but maybe his report is a few days old. He told me to call back tomorrow and he may have a VIN # for it. Anyway my car (ordered 08/03/99) is finally in production and should be here some time soon :-) Anyone have any guesstimates as to how much longer I may have to wait for my car? I live in Vermont.....dealer said another 3-6 weeks but I'm hoping for the three end of it. Thanks for any responses.
: : Jeff, Someone posted a few weeks ago that BMW was throwing more resources into the production line because the series 3s were so popular, resulting in making our cars earlier. It sounds like your car is being made a week early. This is encouraging because I have a week 42 car.
MA, The car I ordered was a 323i with sport-custom, sunroof, xenons, nav, rear bags, heated seats. When I get it I will consider switching the tires for ones with the softest rides (to try to have the best of both worlds!)- Richard
