It's a '99 sedan. So, it's not standard, at leat not on '99 sedans. Vaseline seems kind of messy. What about "Dry-slide" or a Teflon spray? (Don't know what it might do to the leather/leatherette.) Hey, is your upholstery leather or leatherette? Mine's leatherette. If yours is leather, maybe that's the problem.

: Haven't tried Vaseline yet, but I'd like to try and see how that works. I'd check the rear headrests and the side bolsters. On my sedan, they come off (I know because I had to take one of them off to install the CD-Changer.).

: I think this is a standard flaw (read undesired feature) on the split folding seats. I test drove a 323ci and a 328ci to see that it wasn't only happening in my 328i sedan. Both the Ci's had this feature.
