The 323Ci (non-HK) has an amp in the trunk on the left side under the trunk liner below where the cd changer and nav unit get located (if you ordered them). Be careful if you take the liner out; it is a little hard to remove because its "molded" to fit in there tightly. Remember to remove all of the clips that hold it in; I think there are 4. You have to take one out from under the rear seat on the side (difficult to see). When I removed mine, the rear part of the liner snagged on the left rear light assembly and broke the clip that holds the assembly in the housing.
The amp is made by Alpine and has a factory wire harness that plugs into it; no rca jacks.
